Chopper, Magnus, Captain, Clancy, Mumbo, and Shorty are just a few of the names that lined the fronts of the stalls. Twelve gleaming dappled muscular horses quietly munched on their hay, some being groomed and readied for the morning patrols, oblivious to the heavy hearts belonging to the Boston police officers of the Mounted Unit and their caretakers.
